Activities in Azerbaijan
The Quality for Children Standards were distributed and introduced by SOS Children’s Villages Azerbaijan to the CPN members (Child Protection Network).
Positive feedback about the document was received from the CPN members. The Deputy Prime Minister, who is also a member of the Board, took the initiative to support Q4C, he took the responsibility to mobilize Ministries and help in promotion of Standards at the national level.
The Q4C Standards were circulated to respective Ministries. The Ministry of Education and the State Committee on Family, Women and Children’s Problems gave their official feedback. They suggested that these standards could be used in Rehabilitations Centers in framework of the De-I program. Cabinet of Ministries requested that we conduct analysis of legislature and offer suggestions to the Cabinet of Ministries regarding to which law we can add standards. Therefore, SOS is going to conduct an analysis of legislature next year.
